All-Time Fav Game: World of Warcraft
Currently Playing: PUBG
PSN: Ruundown (let’s play!)
Like most kids who grew up in the 90s, I loved playing video games. Whether it was button mashing one of the many Mario games, catching fire in NBA Jam, sleepless nights playing Zelda and Golden Eye, or even pogoing around in Commander Keen on PC, the amount of games I played growing up was insane.
As I got older, and online games started becoming a big deal I transitioned into the First Person Shooter scene. The Delta Force series was probably my first ever online multiplayer FPS experience …man I couldn’t get enough of Land Warrior.
Around the same time I also got hooked on RuneScape. Who knew slaying cows for their hide and meat would be so fun. My favorite memory of that game was trading 2 party hats the day of the Christmas event for some shiny new black armor …oh the joys of being a noob.
After the RuneScape xp grind high wore off – I got back into shooters.
The few that I loved playing were Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, the first Call of Duty, and of course the SOCOM US Navy Seals games on PS2.
From endless nights of clan wars on SOCOM Battles & GameBattles, to playing Desert Glory 24/7 …there was a reason they called it SOCrack.
And then World of Warcraft came out…
You’ve all heard the stories about how WoW takes over lives – hell you might have been one of them. Well I, like millions of others spent way too much time on that shit, but man was it ever fun – best gaming experience of my life. Completely wasted my High School experience, but hey, at least I decked out my Night Elf Warrior and Undead Rogue with sick gear, slayed a lot of dragons, and got Gladiator multiple times right? …time well spent 😉
I actually made a couple of shitty PvP videos on WarCraft Movies back in the day… you can check em out here. I also used to Stream my arena games on a website called Xfire, this was before Twitch was ever a thing. Good times.
Nowadays I just bounce around between the World of Warcraft expansions that come out (play ‘em for like a month or two), and each new version of Call of Duty. Oh and Rocket League’s pretty damn fun too.
I’ve tried other single player type games, like Fallout, but I just can’t get into them if there isn’t a competitive or cooperative online multiplayer aspect to it. I just like playing with other people!
So ya, that’s my “gaming career”. I’m sure many of you around my age (26) have had similar experiences growing up. Or maybe you’re a bit younger, and you’re currently going through it right now with the new era of video games. Either way, the gaming community is pretty awesome, and Streamplay is our way of being part of it.
